Prep: NPO after Midnight
Scout film- 14×17 KUB USE LEAD MARKER
Show scout to Radiologist. For Dr. Sud only do this if there are any questions or if there is an artifact.
Give patient 2 bottles of thin barium to drink
Take immediate film on 14×17, making sure stomach is on image
For everyone but Dr. Kyle, take 20 minute images until barium reaches large intestines, for Dr. Talley do immediate, 10 minute, 20 minute, show Dr. Talley, and he will give further instructions.
Show exam to Radiologist and he/she will give instructions (probably will spot patient with you).
