Ernie Gray, M.D.

Dr. Gray grew up in Rhea County. After high school, he completed his undergrad at Vanderbilt University before attending the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis. His internship year was spent at UT College of Medicine at Erlanger before heading to Savannah Memorial Hospital for his residency. Dr. Gray then completed his fellowship training at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC specializing in Pediatric Radiology and Neurological Radiology.

“I chose radiology because I enjoy the diagnostic challenge of solving the puzzle to discover what’s going on inside the body and providing those answers to my patients.”

Dr. Gray enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. The Tennessee Aquarium is currently the family favorite.

Avinash Sud, M.D.

Dr. Sud completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He then attended medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He headed north to Michigan State University in Lansing, MI where he began his medical residency in pediatrics. He completed his radiology residency at the University of West Virginia. He completed fellowships at the University of Michigan in Nuclear Medicine and Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in Neuroradiology.

“I really enjoy problem-solving” stated Dr. Sud when asked why he chose radiology.

When away from the office, Dr. Sud enjoys restoring classic cars, flying airplanes and helicopters, and spending time with his family. He and his wife have 8 children.
